3 Tips To Wrap Your Head Around Your Bills!
March 13th, 2009 Filed under: Uncategorized — Finance AuthorAre you aware of the fact that only 3% of the people in the world receive 96% of all the money that is being earned today? So, the other 97% of us have to share the remaining 4%! When you split that up, how much does that leave for you or me?
Now, with your cut of the “4% pie”, how do your finances look? Honestly? There are many people out there who have a stack of unopened bills, overdue balances, and can’t get it together enough to get their bills and finances organized. What do you do?
First: Set some time aside when you will not be interrupted and dig out all of your bills, papers, and anything pertaining to your finances. Then start to make piles of each particular company and all of their correspondence to you. It doesn’t matter how old the letters are, or if they are opened or not, just get them all into the correct piles.
Some examples of your piles may be: mortgage or rent, each utility separated into their own piles, vehicle loan, all of your insurance, credit cards – separated, and any other bills that you may need to take care of that are particular to you. Based on this, you may have as little as 5 or 6 piles, or you may have over 15 or 20. Just make sure they are all separated correctly, as this is key to getting a handle on them.
Second: Take one pile at a time and open all the mail and figure out what your balance is today. Letters that are old, or doubles, or irrelevant anymore can be shredded. Try to keep the current calendar year and arrange them in order of dates, with the newest current bill on top. If it is overdue, you need to contact the company and make arrangements and a payment schedule that works realistically for you. Then write down all your payment arrangements and put that on top of the current bill and place all of these into a folder labeled ONLY for that particular bill.
Continue this whole process until you have worked through all the piles and have all of your folders labeled and organized. Place all of the folders into a file holder and whenever you get a new bill, open it and it goes on top.
Third: Pick one day of the month to pay all of your bills and sit down and do it faithfully, whether it’s online, telephone banking or going into your bank. Keep track of all of your balances.
You will notice, that just by being a little more organized with just this one area of your life, that it will spill over into other areas, creating a ripple effect. Unfortunately, for most of us, just being organized with the bills doesn’t cure the problem of not having enough funds to cover them in the first place! (Maybe that’s why they were unopened!)
I personally have found this particular program below extremely helpful in bringing in extra cash to help out in areas like this.

Hi. I came across your blog because you are linked to a friend’s blog. I am curious about the Rapid Money Making link you included. Does it really work? I’m a bit skeptical but curious. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
