Thanks for the interesting article. I think that the most important step towards mastering your money is to create a household budget and find ways to increase your monthly income. I started with mapping out a budget and tracking daily expenses using an online money management software. I managed to get out of debts and then focused on finding new sources of income. Now I live a debt-free life and this gives me a great sense of independence and freedom.

Good article, financial management is tough when you are in a recession and people are trying harder than ever to get you to spend money. I think the first thing that you need to do when you realise that you are getting in to debt is sit down and put together a plan so that you know how you can move forward. I think its a sad fact that every article i write on debt issues

I think alot of younger people these day have lived on credit like it was there main source of income, hence we are in the mess of today.

I have heard of people going on holidays with a credit card and racking up $10,000.
