Panama Offshore “Asset Protection” & Banking – Let the Buyer Beware!

Due to the World’s current economic crisis, many people are seeking protection for their remaining assets from creditors and sometimes even their own governments. This of course is the perfect setting for Criminals to do what they do best; prey on the fear and emotion of these potential victims.
There are some legitimate asset protection attorneys out there, but how does one determine their legitimacy? You see that they are a law firm, maybe even registered with a Martindale-Hubbell rating which is presumably the “gold standard” in attorney ratings; WRONG. Virtually anyone can register their “firm” with Martindale-Hubbell and it especially easy from places such as Guatemala, as Law license numbers, bar cards if you will, can be purchased in their black markets.
Internet searches is one of the great tools, but it is only that, ONE TOOL. Web savvy criminals inundate the internet by purchasing each & every domain name affiliated with the name of their law firm. So, when you try and do an internet search, all you are really coming across is an aggressive internet campaign orchestrated by the very firms you are researching.
It is important for one to understand that the laws in these countries are “unique”. Poverty flourishes, which allows protection of these criminals via bribes and corruption. Trying to file criminals charges in another country can be both expensive and dangerous.
Suffice it to say, that while the United States and Europe have their troubles and the legal system is not beyond reproach, a victim has at least a fair chance of prevailing against these criminals
