I say take advice from a professional you know and trust, or follow your instincts and avoid the sensationalist news programs just trying to get your viewing time! Time and again the information given out is only part of the fuller picture. Every persons financial circumstances are different, so what you see on the TV might not be the mot appropriate llocation of your cash. I much prefer a client of mine to have a little knowledge in the area of financial planning being considered although its not essential.
